About Global Action
Global Action's mission is to proclaim the Kingdom of God in word and deed to people around the world, and to serve the Church by empowering, training, motivating and mobilizing its people, so they become fully-devoted followers of Christ.

This mission is fulfilled through an innovative ministry approach that utilizes key national partnerships and networks worldwide to impact the nations for Christ. The new millennium requires new strategies of collaboration to transform nations and individuals spiritually. Global Action's ministry incorporates strategic evangelism for adults and youth, training, compassion relief in emergencies, as well as multiplication of the Church.

History of Global Action

Dr. Lars Dunberg founded Global Action in 1998. Dr. Dunberg served for many years as an evangelist with such groups as the Salvation Army, Youth for Christ and the Swedish Covenant Church. He also served as International President of Living Bibles International and International Bible Society for 21 years. During his years of ministry, Dr. Dunberg traveled extensively and developed key ministry partnerships worldwide. Global Action was borne out of his desire to return to hands–on ministry around the world, with a particular focus on working through partnerships to fill critical gaps.

Global Action's ministry partners

  • Eurovangelism

  • VELA (Vision for Evangelization in Latin America)

  • Interact (a progressive Swedish denomination)

  • The Salvation Army

  • Pierced Inc. (a ministry to GenXers)

  • ACTS International (an organization working on global training for national pastors and lay people).

Key ministry areas
As of August 2001, Global Action sponsored active ministries in approximately 30 countries. Key ministry areas include:

  • Evangelism and outreach
Global Action helps sponsor a wide variety of evangelistic outreaches
and programs around the world. In Russia and China, this includes funding programs on TV or radio. In Sweden and Latin America, this involves hosting youth rallies in partnership with local churches.

  • Compassion ministries
In cooperation with our worldwide partners, Global Action has ministered in disaster situations around the world. During 1999, we responded to the crises in Kosovo, Chechnya and Turkey. In 2001, we continued with that work as well as contributed to emergency relief assistance in El Salvador and India.

  • Women of Global Action
Global Action merged with the Women's Track AD 2000 and Beyond Movement to become Women of Global Action. This ministry includes overseeing an evangelism network nearing 100,000 people worldwide and planning global prayer initiatives. Global Action also sponsors micro-enterprise programs, rehabilitation and vocational training in Ethiopia, as well as publishing the training and leadership development materials for women.

  • Training and motivation
Global Action sponsors leadership training for pastors and lay people around the world in a variety of forms. In some countries, leadership development events are organized in cooperation with local churches. In India and Sri Lanka, Global Action sponsors a 10-month modular training program for new pastors and church leaders.

  • Church multiplication
Global Action works with local church leaders to multiply ministry by filling gaps where no one else is working.

  • Children and youth
Global Action sponsors summer youth camps for orphans in Ukraine. It also hosts youth conferences in India, Serbia and elsewhere to develop future church leaders and encourage a bold Christian witness.
