Up to 62 percent of the world's pastors have no formal training. Global Action is standing in the gap, and training pastors and lay people around the world. This training is done through conferences for pastors, youth and families, and a 10-month global modular training program (GLOMOS) in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Latin America and Ukraine.
Listed below are our key Training ministry programs.
PROVIDE BASIC THEOLOGICAL TRAINING TO A CURRENT OR FUTURE PASTOR
Untrained pastors around the world long for an opportunity to learn, but lack the resources to attend formal seminary. The Global Module Studies program (GLOMOS) systematically and thoroughly trains Christian leaders in practical pastoral and theological instruction in Ukraine, Honduras, El Salvador, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Each student also trains at least five other leaders -- multiplying the impact many times.
EQUIP THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS
The future of the Church is in the hands of today's young leaders. Empowering these young people will ensure that ministry programs meet the needs of the new generation and the emerging church. Inter-denominational young leaders' conferences for 40 leaders under the age of 40 will serve as a catalyst for future ministry in Eastern Europe and India.
STOCK A PASTOR'S LIBRARY
All graduating students of the Global Module Studies program (GLOMOS) receive a basic pastoral library. Most graduates pastor churches, work in para-church organizations, or serve as youth leaders. These books are treasured as helpful references in their ministry.
PREPARE A YOUNG PERSON TO BECOME A RISK-TAKER FOR CHRIST
At New Generation gatherings, hundreds of youth in Eastern Europe, Latin America and India will understand the value of life totally committed to Christ. Global Action will equip and challenge these young people to share their faith and influence their friends, families, churches and nations for the future.
CHALLENGE PASTORS IN LEADERSHIP AND SERVANTHOOD
Hundreds of pastors will be challenged to follow Jesus in leadership and servanthood at inter-denominational pastors' conferences. These conferences will ensure that pastors in Eastern Europe and India will meet the needs of the new generation and the emerging church in these areas.
